James Noll, a former Villa Hills city councilman and the 2012 Democratic nominee for Kentucky State Senate district 23, was arrested in Fort Mitchell late Tuesday/early Wednesday.

According to the Kenton Co. Detention Center, Noll, 43, was charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was released shortly after 11:00 a.m.

Noll served as a city councilman in Villa Hills for one term that ended in 2012 and lost to Republican Chris McDaniel in November's state senate race.

Noll, an attorney, is scheduled to appear in court March 11.
