Covington Students Create "Little Free Libraries"

A summer project with three Covington elementary schools resulted in the creation of the Little Free Library, a "take a book, replace with a book" concept.

The students turned old newspaper bins into book dispensers placed on the campuses of John G. Carlisle, Sixth District, and Latonia Elementary Schools.

The libraries feature children's and young adult books and all are open to the public.

Book donations were provided by students' families, teachers, and principals at the schools.

The activity was done in conjunction with the Center for Great Neighborhoods.
